2014 Season - Week 17 (Cont)

BUMS Play-offs

And so we begin our knock-out game and the road to BUMSBowl XIX starts this weekend. Again no rule changes so to refresh your memory here’s how our knock-out tournament works. It’s a head-to-head contest with the highest scorer in each game going through. You must select 1 QB, 1 kicker and any 4 outfield players to play within a budget of $7.5 million using the same player prices as the regular season. (See spreadsheet attached). You can change all players between each round and in each game no more than 2 players can appear in both teams. Please get your teams back to me as soon as possible and no later than by 1am on Saturday (UK time) so we can sort out any swaps needed. Whoever gets their team to me first gets first pick of players to swap, if necessary, so a speedy reply is key. If the scores are tied at the end of the games the tie-breaker is the Momentum Rule where the player that scored latest in any game is ruled to have “Mo” and wins. The second tie-breaker is total yards rushing and receiving by your outfield players. As always top scoring owner plays lowest and so on, so here are the Wildcard match ups. Johnnie will play Wayne, Craig v John, Aaron v David S, Mark v George, Ron v Dave G, Chief v Cheryl, Marcus v Daz, Andy H v AP. AP & Daz and John & David’s seeding positions were decided by coin toss as both pairs are tied on points. As a result our draft order tie-breaker of most post season points scored will be used to decide who drafts before the other. NFL Play-offs In the AFC the champs are New England (East 12-4) and Denver (West 12-4) with bye weeks & Pittsburgh (North11-5) and Indianapolis (South 11-5) playing in the wildcard games at home against Baltimore (10-6) and Cincinnati (10-5-1) respectively. In the NFC the champs are Seattle (West 12-4) & Green Bay (North 12-4) with bye weeks & Dallas (East 12-4) and Carolina (South 7-8-1) playing at home against Detroit (12-4) and Arizona (11-5) respectively. BUMS on Seats Aaron, Johnnie, H, Marcus and Chief are getting together at HQ from 1pm on Friday to see the first ever College Playoff Semi-Finals with Florida State (3) v Oregon (2) followed by Ohio State (4) v Alabama (1) (played on Thursday night/Friday morning) to decide who will play in the College National Championship game on January 13th. If anyone else wants to join us please shout. In the NFL we will be meeting at HQ on Saturday evening at 9:30pm to see Arizona visit Carolina live.
